Enjoy friendly atmosphere in a bright natural-light studio. Receive valuable instruction from professional artist/instructor, as well as feedback from your peers. Coffee/tea are provided (a chance to stretch your legs and see what the others are working on!)
Yes, you can paint! – for artists with some previous painting experience
Tuesdays, 9:30am – noon (starts January 22)
This class is designed for newer artists with some previous painting experience. Working in acrylics, enjoy the satisfaction of creating several paintings in different styles along with the instructor, receiving step-by-step demonstration of colour mixing, composition, painting techniques, and more.
Open Studio – for artists of all levels
Tuesdays, 1pm – 3:30pm (starts January 22)
Wednesdays, 9:30am – noon (starts January 23)
Wednesdays , 1pm – 3:30pm (starts January 23)
‘Open Studio’ sessions are for artists of all levels, from beginners to those with years of experience. As an open-studio participant you have several options:
– Personal instruction in painting techniques and colour theory (acrylics or water-based oils)
– Step by step lessons in drawing (negative spaces, perspective, tonal drawing) or coloured pencil drawing
– Step by step lessons in coloured pencil drawing
– Working on your own projects (landscape, still life, animals, portraits, etc) in your choice of medium while learning new techniques under the guidance of a professional artist.
Register early, classes are limited to six people!
