Art Shows

 

FINE ART SHOW & SALE   (Registration is closed)

An annual spring fine art show and sale.  Held the first Saturday and Sunday in May at the Carleton Place Canoe Club, 179 John Street.  Hours are 10am – 4:30pm. 

Sale booths will be offered to the artists accepted to the show.  Artists are requested to submit samples of their recent work to be used for event publicity.  Based on limited booth numbers, preference at this event is afforded to visual artists and other fine art applicants.  A central cash is provided and a wrapping service.  In addition to an entry fee for the artists, a commission is taken by Arts Carleton Place of 5% (or 7.7% for credit or debit payments) for each sale.  There is no entry fee for the public.  Lots of parking.

In December or January, a ‘Call to Artists’ is sent via the mid-month newsletter – the Artsy Call & News- email.


ITTY BITTY ART & CRAFTS SALE    

An annual pre-holiday sale of art items prices no more than $150.  Held the first Saturday and Sunday in November at the Carleton Place Canoe Club, 179 John Street.  Hours are 10am – 4:30pm.

Artists in many disciplines have sale booths of various sizes.  The organization provides a grid setup 2ft deep with widths of 4, 6 or 8 ft.  Authors may have just a table.  A central cash is provided and a wrapping service.  In addition to an entry fee for the artists, a commission is taken by Arts Carleton Place of 5% (or 7.7% for credit or debit payments) for each sale.  There is no entry fee for the public.  Lots of parking.
