The 2010 Arts Carleton Place Award Program has changed. The Board has decided to offer a $500 bursary at each high school to a deserving student who has shown an interest in the arts. The previous monies that were allocated to this program have been directed to our 2010 pilot project, "Express Yourself". This is a week-long arts program at public schools to offer children a hands-on experience in the visual and performing arts. Local artists and performers will be the instructors. This program will conclude with a showcase highlighting the works and performances of the students at a recital/exhibition.
