Photography is a hobby I got into in the summer of 2010. My dad lent me his DSLR camera and gave me a crash course on how to use it for a family trip to the East Coast. In early 2011, I took a photography course at Algonquin College in Ottawa, which helped me understand how a camera operates, introduced me to Adobe Photoshop, and taught me ways to manipulate images using a digital darkroom. It gave me the basic foundation to develop my skills and be more creative with my prints.
In school and at home, I have always had my hands in the arts, as a hobby in music and drawing. But this genre is different. With photography, the art is already there; I just have to find it. I try to look at things differently, capture a side not thought of before, take the picture less taken. Landscapes, urban environment, and automobiles interest me the most because of the natural and artistic designs. The details and lines are intentionally made in such a way that you can capture the same object at endless perspectives and still maintain the character.
