Strachan Johnston

Strachan Johnston is a retired federal public servant who studied art in his spare time and evenings at the Ottawa School of Art and in workshops in the NCR region. Strachan has shown his work at the Upstairs Bistro, the Ottawa School of Art, the Graham Studio Coop, the Main Works Coop, and Brush Strokes.
One of Strachan's portraits hangs at the Civic Hospital.
Strachan specializes in figurative art and uses a variety of materials to create the work of art. He regularly attends figure drawing workshops in Ottawa and is keen to start an open figure drawing workshop in Carleton Place. He is currently building a new studio at his home and preparing for an art show at Brush Strokes in December 2010.
