Arts Carleton Place (artscarletonplace.com)

When I retired, to while away the winter months, I took a course in drawing from Doris Wionzek. This led to trying my hand at charcoal, and then, to working in pastel. I found I enjoyed painting portraits.

I began painting my grandchildren, then other people's grandchildren (from photographs); now I try whatever subjects come to hand, from self-portraits to the odd still life.

Margaret Ferraro and Adrian Baker have been my teachers.
