My photographic background spans 20+ years, including the past 4 years as a professional photographer. I studied photojournalism in London England and spent a year hiding behind lamp-posts in the rain, dodging pigeons and trying to snag that perfect picture of London bedlam. Then I discovered studio portraits. Turns out it doesn' t rain in a portrait studio. Even better, I don' t have to hide behind a lamp-post (which is good, as I don't really fit).

I found my real love in interacting with people, getting to know them, and bringing out their personalized story. My passion for portrait photography lies in reflecting the positive side of life I believe is inherent in us all.

Driven by this passion, I launched UNPOSED portrait photography in 2006, specializing in UNPOSED portraits that are personalized to the subject.

UNPOSED is not about ordinary portraits; Kids can be kids, adults can be, well, whatever they would like to be. I encourage clients to bring props that represent them - anything from a musical instrument, a cherished book, to a pet boa constrictor. Even a lamp post.... just as long as I don' t have to hide behind it.
