Phyllis was born in Melfort Saskatchewan.

She graduated from Saskatoon City Hospital then worked at Women's College in Toronto in 1952.

Art has always been an integral part of her soul, and she has experimented with many different mediums throughout her lifetime. Phyllis spent 30 years as a potter and was a founding member of The Ottawa Guild Of Potters and also produces handmade paper. After settling in the Almonte area, Phyllis has met her artistic Mentor (Suzanne Warren Powel) who has opened her soul to the world of acrylic painting. Phyllis is enjoying all aspects of acrylic painting and is experimenting with various styles such as impressionist, abstract, or realistic art. Her Paintings are textured, joyful, and colourful.
