Patrick Michael Kavanagh was born in London, England in 1956. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1965. The family resided in Saskatoon, Sask. from 1965 to 1970 before moving to Ontario. Patrick currently resides in Lake Park, just west of Carleton Place.

Patrick's interest in photography started at a very early age. He was, and remains to this day, greatly inspired by the photographic works of his father, the late Patrick Desmond Kavanagh.

Patrick has been honing his photographic techniques for the better part of twenty years. His many and varied interests are reflected in the subject matter of his photographs, which range from landscapes, to architectural, to abstracts, to intimate portraits.

Patrick is a founding and active member of the elusive, evasive (and somewhat legendary) photography group 7Again. He is also an active member of the local photography group Photography Matters.
