I am a local Carleton Place resident, and a very active event photographer in the community and in the Ottawa area. As a freelance assignment photographer for one of the local newspapers, I am a constant presence at most community events in Carleton Place, Almonte, and Pakenham.
Sports and concerts are my particular favourites, and I love capturing the passion and emotions in the faces of my subjects - as they work at something that they love.
I am the team photographer for the Carleton Place Junior A Canadians, and my photos have preserved the games for the many parents and fans of the young men on the team. I love the local music scene, and I cover most of the concerts in the area, providing photos for the personal memories of the performers, and in support of their careers with poster and web site photos.
I am also the team photographer for the Ottawa Fat Cats semi-pro baseball team, so I spend a lot of my summer in Ottawa covering the team and the very busy concert/festival schedule in Ottawa.
Even with the advances in digital photography to the point where everyone can take pictures on their phones, there is still a huge market for professional event photography, and it certainly keeps me busy, challenged, and passionate.
