Arts Carleton Place (artscarletonplace.com)

Lindsay was born and raised in Carleton Place and has always been intrigued by drawing, painting and natural landscapes. She has completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts at OCAD University and is now pursuing a full-time, professional career as an artist.

Studying in Toronto opened new doors and avenues to explore. Through inspirational courses in portraiture and landscape, Lindsay was challenged to take risks by working on a larger scale and painting with bold, confident brush strokes. From the moment she began working in oil paint and watercolour she felt at ease and sensed a new path opening before her.

She has been given the opportunity to exhibit her paintings in numerous juried shows through which she gained valuable experience and recognition within the Toronto arts community. Along the way, Lindsay has benefited greatly from the generous bursaries and awards from the Toronto, Almonte, and Carleton Place communities.

Lindsay is currently working on a new body of paintings inspired by the striking Mississippi River vistas and Carleton Place architecture. She will be reproducing these works on greeting cards and selling them to promote the beauty of her hometown. Lindsay is also accepting commissions.
