Kathy Baird's residence and studio is located on Hay Shore, Mississippi Lake, Ontario, Canada. A graduate of Fine Arts from the University of Ottawa, she is retired from Graphic Design, and now paints full-time. A resident of Florida also, she and her husband spend the winter months in Lakeland, Florida.

"Colour and form are my passion. Everywhere I go I am constantly stimulated by colours and shapes surrounding me. Most of my inspiration comes from nature. I love to work 'en Plein Air' which results in a spontaneity and fluidity in my work. Making colours sing together with brushstrokes - whether it be with watercolours or oils is my constant enjoyment."
