Painting became a serious venture for me after my retirement five years ago. The rural countryside of the Ottawa Valley, my garden, family members and the maritime scenery of Nova Scotia are my usual subjects. I paint with acrylics on canvasses that vary from miniature to as large as will fit in my car. I also work in pastel.

I've taken courses through Mississippi Mills Summer School of the Arts, with various local artists and attend on-going tutorials with Suzanne Warren-Powell.

I have exhibited at shows and businesses around the Ottawa Valley. My work can be seen at the Virtual Art Market at 77 Bridge St. in Carleton Place and at our own small gallery, the Derry Studio, on Derry Side Road in Beckwith Township near Carleton Place.
