My name is James Ramage and seventy-seven years have passed since I was born in Scotland. I love to paint and I have accumulated many letters of recognition and awards that have made my artistic endeavours worthwhile. I have been in various art groups and I have participated in many art shows. Both private, and corporate collectors as well as fellow artists have purchased many of my works.

I am now a proud Canadian citizen, having lived in Toronto (1955-1988) and Edmonton (1988-2007). I have recently returned to Ontario and I enjoy living near Carleton Place where I look forward to continuing with my art. Over my career, I have produced many murals, I love to paint pets, rural scenes and whatever will challenge my creativity, or your fantasy!

I look forward to being an active member of Arts Carleton Place, and as an artist, I would like to say, "I take a challenge, not a commission."
