Gayle Marshall
A member of the Arts Carleton Place Artist Database
A long-time resident of Quebec's beautiful Eastern Townships, Gayle has been painting for over 30 years. She remembers that her love of art started very young."The old gentleman in the next door cottage on Lake Erie gave me a pie plate of watercolour blocks in 1944. I've drawn and painted my family, friends and landscapes in graphite, ink, oil, watercolour and acrylic ever since."
After years of painting on her own while raising a family, Gayle completed her Bachelors of Fine Arts degree at Bishop's University in December 2004. She received the Undergraduate Prize in Fine Arts in 2003.
Senior citizenship and her studies at the Bishop's University campus in Knowlton have now given her time and confidence to persue her painting professionally. Currently, her art work adorns homes in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal.
Original work of art for special occasions by commission. Viewings by appointment. Gayle Marshall (613) 253-8785.
