Danielle K.L. Grégoire is a mother, a teacher, a spoken word artist and a lover of all things creative. She is the founder of the Lanark County rural slam poetry series, and a founding member of the Lanark County Live Poets Society. She performs spoken word at all sorts of events. One of her favourite memories was performing for Governor General Michaëlle Jean at the 2007 GG Literary Awards. She is a member of the touring spoken word group, The Copper Conundrum with Kevin Matthews and Rusty Priske. Her favourite part of being an artist is teaching slam poetry workshops for all ages and experience levels, and has been in many schools in the area. Her debut CD is called "Optimism is a Constant Struggle" and features recordings of live performances at Capital Slam in Ottawa from 2005-2008.
