Craig Angus
A member of the Arts Carleton Place Artist Database
Craig Angus, glass and tile artist, is driven by the power of imagination, the possibilities of mixing mediums, the use of line, texture and colour and, most importantly, the capacity of art to tell stories, teach and induce feelings.Craig has invested in his learning process for over 30 years and his work can be found around the globe. Over the past two months alone his work has been shipped to Turkey, Spain, Italy, Washington D.C., New York City, Toronto, Ottawa and, yes, Carleton Place and Almonte.
As a glass artist, he still employs traditional glass methods like lead cane and Tiffany; however, his most recent work includes glass fusing, glass casting, sand-blasting, wood, metal and acrylic paints.
Until recently, Craig has marketed only by word of mouth and has shown his work in his own home gallery, The Angus Gallery in Carleton Place. However, his work is now featured at The Keffer Gallery in Almonte, and The Art Market in Carleton Place.
His most recent tile art commission is a wall mural of wind blown trees. This work includes twenty square panels and is 10 feet high and 8 feet wide.
