I've always had an urge to create with my hands and painting has been my primary medium. My paintings are primarily landscapes however I try to create my own compositions by combining elements from real and imaginary places. My landscapes are based in realism without being bound by reality.

Lately I have been very happily working with sculptural elements. Combining painting and sculpture has been a wonderful journey and I'm very excited about all the future possibilities. Incorporating modelling clay, paper mache, concrete, ceramic and paint, I have been able to use and combine some of the elements that I enjoy working in.

Outdoor garden art and functional art are of particular interest to me so I am pursuing this avenue more and more. Working with mixed media is very exciting and can be very liberating - there is no limit, anything goes! There is no right or wrong - just emotion and the interpretation of the artist.
