Raised on a dairy farm on the outskirts of Carleton Place.As a child sang with her sisters - Lynda, Cathy, and Heather, known as the "McRae Sisters".
As a child, Anne's family performed live on the "Juliette Show."
During the 60's involved in the folk music scene, competed and placed third in the Provincial Folk Festival.
Wrote and performed theme song for Greater Metropolitan Toronto - United Way at Harbor Castle.
Performed at Music in the Park - Seaton Village - Toronto, Royal York and Delta Chelsea hotels.
Has performed twice as a soloist with Richburn Entertainment Inc in association with COSAP at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
Auditioned with the Orpheus Society, was selected as soloist for the City of Ottawa "kick-off", United Way - Ottawa Carleton. On the same occasion, was invited to sing the song "People" to introduce Mayor of Ottawa Bob Chiarelli.
Wrote "Wishes" in memory of Audrey McRae (her mother) who was the past Chairperson of the Lanark County Board of Education. This song was donated to the Ontario Chapter Wish Foundation.
Member of Bracken (a Celtic group) - specializes in Scottish, Irish and gospel music. Have already released two CDs and is presently working on a third - "The Magic of Ireland".
Involved in a number of Bracken Concerts that raised funds for The Holy Name of Mary Church in Almonte.
Released first CD "Whispers from My Heart" on February 11, 2006 with proceeds given to the restoration of the stain glass windows "Holy Name of Mary Church".
Released CD "Gospel Treasures" on June 17, 2007 with the proceeds going to Lanark County MADD.
Taught music and voluntarily coached a Grade #3 Class "Sunbeam Whispers" who recorded on the "Gospel Treasures" CD. The proceeds went towards the music program at their school.
Sang and co-produced "You’re My Star on Every Tree" concert December 17, 2007 with over 350 in attendance with proceeds going to the restoration of the Carleton Place Zion Memorial United Church
Main feature for "The Sons of Scotland Show" in Ottawa.
Recently, in collaboration with Bruce Monteith - has written a song for Riverside Jam, Carleton Place.
Presently work as the Coordinator of Volunteer Services for the Arnprior & District Memorial Hospital & Grove Nursing Home, a member of the Life Enrichment Centre Staff at Fairview Manor and operate a small business that cleans new homes for Neilcorp Inc. in preparation for the closings.
In the recording studio now, preparing for Christmas CD to be released in mid November with CD Release in December.
