You're invited to the opening reception of 'Labours of Love - a celebration of women in art' featuring the paintings of Adrian Baker with special guest artists Karen Bailey, Heidi Conrod, Rosemary Leach, Katherine McNenly, and Chandler Swain.
Friday, September 11th, 6pm to 9pm,
at Dale Smith Gallery, 137 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa
Maureen McTeer, Canadian representative of The White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood, will be in attendance to share refreshments and information about the organization. The WRA is an international coalition of volunteers working to reduce the shockingly high maternal death rates in developing countries.
Fifty percent of all sales from this exhibit will go directly towards training nurses, midwives and doctors at the Korle-bu teaching hospital in Accra, Ghana.
