Proposal by The Olde Barracks Community Centre - The Mississippi Artists' Guild

The Guild would be composed of 11 artists seeking studio space.

7 "A" level artists-180 sq. ft. private studio space
3 "B" level artists- 240 to 300 sq. ft. studio space
1 "C" level artist- 540 sq. ft. private studio space

All artists would have access to:

-free 1800 sq. ft. long term shared exhibit space
-free 750 and 800 sq. ft. short term private exhibit spaces
-free use of classrooms during evenings and weekends for workshops and courses.
-open air "artists' market" vendor space during the summer

Total rent for whole space: $2,500 plus GST per month (utilities included). When divided by 11 the cost is less than $250 per person per month. Fundraisers, studio tours etc. could also help reduce the cost.

Phone and high speed access would be available for an additional charge.
