Pottery classes with Victoria Jenkins (website) begin September 11, 2007. Tuesday morning 9-12 or Tuesday evening 7-10. $130 for 8 lessons, clay $28 a bag (includes glaze and firing) To register, call Victoria at (613) 257-2588 or avjenkins@rogers.com.

Arts Cafe

Artists from all disciplines are invited to join us for our Arts Cafe (thank-you to all of you who helped us pick out a great name).
Where: Page & Turners Bookstore (135 Bridge St.) from 6-8 p.m.
When: The third Thursday of every month
The evening is set-up as a relaxed setting where artists can feel free to express themselves. Please come out and chat, sing, play music, read poetry, or just talk about anything!

Advocates Against Apathy Fundraiser

Advocates Against Apathy, a group of young people from our community who share a common interest towards the betterment of Carleton Place as a whole and the individuals who comprise it. They have such potential to do good in our community and set an amazing example of what is possible with hard work and dedication. Many artists from our database will be taking part in the silent auction part of "An Evening of Art, Music, and Philanthropy" a fund-raiser where proceeds go to support the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County and Community Home Support of Lanark County. The artists include Linda Blakeney, Sharon Burke, Jan Gilbert, Raymond Girouard, Victoria Jenkins, Tracy Lamb, Peggy Marcoux, Donna Naprstek, Jack Neilson, Kellie Oliphant-Burns and Maxim Seif Eddin. The event takes place on Wednesday, June 2007 at 7:00 - 11:00 pm at Ballygiblin's Pub and Restaurant
(151 Bridge Street, Carleton Place). See you there!
