Celebrate the "Sounds of Downtown" with Arts Carleton Place. Local musicians and performing artists will be performing in various music genres at local businesses and restaurants along Bridge Street. For only $20, you can purchase a passport that allows you to experience the blues, country, gospel, classical, Celtic music and literary readings while enjoying some delicious foods along the way!! Performing artists include: Brock Zeman and the Dirty Hands, Aestival String Quartet and Photography Exhibit, Parvaneh Rowshan, Voz Viva!, Mississippi Blues Society and Haley Freeman. The last stop is at the Town Hall Auditorium featuring a jazz concert with the Peter Brown trio and Kellylee Evans. Here, the passport gets validated for an opportunity to win prizes as 'the finale' of the fundraiser.

This second annual fundraiser is in support of our Awards Programme. This has been established to generate cash awards to two students at our local high schools who wish to pursue further studies in the arts. The third award- the Opportunity Award- is for any practising established artist to enhance their education and growth. The first recipient of the Opportunity Award will also be presented this evening!

Tickets are on sale at Page and Turners and LUX Photographic Studios.

The Mississippi Mudds of Carleton Place are pleased to present "Murderous Crossings"; a mystery dinner theatre presentation.

The year is 1923 and audience members are passengers on board the HMS Victoria as it crosses the English Channel. The famous Inspector Clurrot has tracked down a homicidal mastermind hiding out on board. Meanwhile, the ship is the vessel of matrimony for the Contessa Follette and John D. Rothchild - a marriage encouraged through financial need and murderous greed. But not everything is as it seems, and it turns out that the English Channel isn't the only thing being crossed in this Agatha Christie (or is it Pink Panther) styled mystery.
